Permanent Agriculture...
Growing things, designing landscapes and homes, gardens according to the rules, laws and patterns identifiable throughout nature, in each ecosystem... and amongst "primitive" people still-connected to and in-touch with these unwritten laws.
Permaculture was coined by two men from Australia, very familiar (through experience) with many of the methods used by aboriginal cultures they'd studied and lived-among...
If you don't know (or don't know much) about Permaculture, please at least peruse the links at the right related to the subject...
You could make a lifetime study of it, and a whole lifestyle... but all of us, I believe, ought to at least know about Permaculture, and the important worldview and practices it offers for the survival of species planet-wide, including humans.
We need all the help, resources, new paradigms and practices we can use!
